harford logan & the Logan Whistle

Harford Logan is as synonymous with training sheepdogs, as a cyclist is with a bike - one cannot work without the other.  A 7-time UK & Scottish National Sheepdog Champion and International Sheepdog Trial Judge, the late great Harford Logan was in a class all of his own. He did not need an e-collar, all he needed was a whistle! A personal family friend of Ali's late father in Ireland, Ali's very first dog was a border collie from one of Harford's litters. Today, the Logan name lives on in a unique and wonderful way.

The Logan family were the original designers of the Logan Whistles. These whistles help you, as a trainer, communicate with your dogs at a distance. They are not just effective tools for the sheepdog,  the tones they can create are suitable for training all working dogs or as an excellent recall whistle for pets.  They are especially effective as dogs like and react well to the tones.  Each of us creates a different sound using the same whistle so your  'voice' is unique and easily recognized by your dog. This results in faster reaction times, as they know for sure that it is you that is asking them for a  trained response.
